yakima police
what is the matter with the police department in Yakima?? They were called on a house break in this weekend with the crooks still in the house. 911 was called twice and the dispatcher informed the callers that the police were "busy", even though the house was being robbed in front of the homeowners.
When the police did arrive half an hour later, they didn't know what was going on, were too busy on their computer to even get out of the car for 10 minutes and then treated the victims and witnesses like they were suspects.
When one of the witnesses told police via cell phone that they were following one of the suspects, they were not asked where they were, but were simply told to stop.
The police were disrespectful to the victim (a young man and his wife and new baby) who was devastated by the robbery just before Christmas. They treated the witnesses badly and made jokes with each other at the crime scene.
Where did we get these people for our law enforcement and whatever happened to actually trying to find out what happened instead of assuming that you know everything there is to know about everything?
I don't know where they were trained, but they should have thrown in large spoonfuls of kindness, sympathy, understanding, and plain old manners when they were doing the training.
I think we need to treat a crime like it actually is a crime instead of looking the other way and we need men and women that are professional enough to do the job

no surprise
i was broke into last winter, luckly about all they took was all my DVD'S (around 200), well i knew just what they would do with them and i was right, they took them down to rons coin and book for cash.
so any way i had the scumbags hand print on my window one of thier boot prints on my kicked in door, and the form at rons that you have to feel out when you sell something to them, so i even had a name, address, thumb print, and I.D., and all the investigator could say was prove.
then i got broke in to again about a month later !!, so i called just to report it and told them i did not need anyone to come out as i knew nothing would be done about it, but maybe they could start patrolling the area a little heavier for a while.
so i'm setting at home watching TV and about 10:00 p.m.!!!(when i called in at just after 5:00 p.m.)i get a loud knock on my door, and guess who it is ???, the fabulous YPD, after i had told them to NOT come out.

YPD IS UNPROFFESSIONAL
Our police department is an absolute JOKE!!! Most of them are extremely rude and dont really give a crap about any of the calls that come in.... They pretty much get there when they get there...if they get there at all, and once they are there, all they do is give you a case #, and then you NEVER Hear from anyone again! it's like your crime against you has just disappeared in a file somewhere! I would like to know what the hell these guys do!!! They certainly don't take crime seriously, or they would respond to calls in a timely manner. I had a rental that was being used for a Drug Trafficking house and called YPD to let them know that there were drugs being sold, as we were speaking, and Guess What!!! They NEVER showed up! . My husband and I sat down the road from the residence and watched this happening, I kept calling and was told that the officers were "BUSY", we waited like 4 hours down the road and finally gave up! Never heard from YPD... What A Joke!! and Why are our Police Officers not required to take Drug Tests??? This could be the problem, I think ALL LAW ENFORCEMENT should be REQUIRED to submit to RANDOM DRUG TESTING!!!Any one Agree! Then Respond!!

We to were broken in to before Christmas and it was clear it was our neighbor, and the YPD thought it was them to but they did nothing, the neighbor gave them permission to enter there home and they didn't do it, it was as if they new they wouldn't go in...they didn't take prints or anything just gave us a case # and said call your insurance company, we had 9 guns stolen, they should be worried about that don't you think? You mean my case wasn't the first..
...to be ignored? My shotgun was stolen from my house by my daughters friends. I called the YPD to file a report, they came about 1 and a half later, and gave me a case#. That was 12/17/09 and neither of my daughters friends have been questioned yet. I think they have had time to sell it about 50 times by now. I guess it's more important to keep pretty ladies from showing their butts then trying to keep guns off our streets.
